FPD
Company has pioneered many advanced engineering concepts that revolutionized
our forging, machining, finishing and assembly processes. A team of
highly skilled engineers utilize the most powerful software programs
available to design and validate all products produced and manufacturing
processes employed at FPD. We create 3-D solid models of every component
produced at our facility; these models are used to generate CNC programs,
fixturing, tooling and gages. An advanced forging simulation software
package is used to validate our forging process and verify vital information
such as press loads, material flow and temperature profiles. CNC programs
are optimized to reduce cycle time
by utilizing a specialized tool path simulation program. To insure
integrity of our engineering and manufacturing systems, FPD uses the
customer's model to generate CMM programs prior to manufacturing a
part. Our engineering system has been the core of our 20-year history.
